Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston, about how the Charleston police dealt with DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys.
